• YouthWAVE is an intense week long ministry experience unlike anything your students have experienced before.

• It's Youth -- With A Vision for Evangelism
  • You are invited to immerse your life in the person, priority and story of Jesus as He discipled Peter to become a world changer, and calls us to do the same. Are you willing to rediscover Jesus?

• It's a journey
  • Just as Peter had to journey with Jesus for three years in order to begin seeing the world through Christ's eyes, so we too must journey with Jesus in our own lives. YouthWAVE is a mini-journey - emulating Peters walk with Jesus - acting as a launch pad to engage our own journey with Christ.
  • Beginning with Christ's call to COME follow him, we then listen to him as he CALLS us by a new name. Allowing us to CHOOSE to accept our new identity in him, he waits for us to CONFESS that we need his power to overcome. CONQUERING our fear, that one day we will deny him to his face, we CONTINUE with Christ, trusting him as we become his hands and feet - full of love, grace and acceptance.

  • Students will be expected to be prompt and engaged from the first event of the day to the last
  • We start early and end late with limited free time.

  • Application of training on the streets of Portland (a very cool city)

WHO SHOULD COME TO YOUTHWAVE?

• YouthWAVE is not for everyone in your group.

• It will best serve those students who have shown a commitment to their faith, and a willingness to surrender to Christ.

  Attendees should include:

  • Youth minister
  • Additional adult "group coordinator", depending on the size of your group.
  • Ministry level students.

• July 13-19, 2009. Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning.
